First few days in Paris has been lovely sunny weather, not autumn yet. My building is on a beautiful street, lined with huge trees, right next to the Seine.
Once the leaves are gone I might be able to see Nôtre Dame’s steeple. The architecture is stunning, Hôtel de Ville is a perfect example. Every street has a charm of its own. So many beautiful little cafe’s and parks. Even when I’m tired my feet just keep on going, they seem to sing “these boots are made for walking”!
Musée Carnavalet was the first museum on my list, being the closest. The art not so much to my taste, except for a few stunning portraits. Immaculate garden in the courtyard. Today I painted my first Paris scene, yea! Stunning view, but believe me, that concrete bench gets cold after an hour. Luckily I was lost in time and only felt it when I finished the painting. As I packed up, a sign was put out next to the boat seen on the left “Restaurant Theatre”, how great is that?
